The Crimson King, the Holy Order and Dracul

By the Vampire Feast team at Orivexsystems · Updated

The Crimson King is Vampire Feast's endgame. When any vampire reaches 2,150 mass the arena calls a 30-second Blood Rush between the top 5 candidates; whoever gains the most mass is crowned. The crown makes you 1.8x deadlier and halves the damage you take — and it turns the entire server, mortal and divine, against you.

Taking the crown

Nobody is handed the throne. The sequence is fixed:

  1. A vampire crosses 2,150 mass — just past the final evolution.
  2. The arena names up to 5 candidates (tier 8 and above) and starts the Blood Rush.
  3. For 30 seconds the candidate who gains the most mass wins. Not the biggest — the hungriest. A smaller candidate who finds a feeding frenzy can steal the crown outright.
  4. The winner is crowned, surges to 1.3x mass, and the whole server is told.

After a King falls there is a 80-second quiet before the next trial can begin.

What the crown gives you

Heaven's answer: the Holy Order

The moment a King is crowned, Holy Wrath begins to fill — at 0.45 per second, rising by 0.01 for every second of the reign. The first wave marches at 14 seconds and a new one every 24 seconds after that, in the order knight → monk → paladin → crusader → angel.

Holy unitMassSpeedWhat it does
Knight72172Line infantry. Never alone.
Monk56150Heals 9/s. Kill these first.
Paladin190118A 160-radius slam every 4s.
Crusader105140Ranged bolts from 450 away.
Angel300188Holy fire, 22 damage in a 200 radius.
Named Hunter540176A roaming elite with a 110-mass bounty on its head.
Grand Inquisitor1,500132The Cathedral's last answer when its front breaks.

When wrath fills, the Archangel descends — a player-controlled holy champion at near mass-parity with the King, who shrugs off most damage and makes every holy soldier near him fight harder. He is a general, not a duelist. Roughly 87% of all reigns end on an Archangel. Each one you fell halves the wrath meter, so the ladder of ascensions falls at about 103s, 134s, 160s and 183s of reign.

Dracul — the stage above the crown

Dracul means dragon, and it is the crown's second act rather than a phase of it. Nothing hands it out. There are two keys:

The dragon trades its whole kit for a held dragonflame breath and a tough hide. The flame is everything, so an empty stamina bar leaves Dracul with nothing. The price is steep on the other side too: Holy Wrath climbs half again as fast, a Kingsbane strike marches at once, and there is a blood-price on your head for whoever fells you. Terror in exchange for fragility — and a reason for the whole arena to converge on one point.

Frequently asked questions

How do you become the Crimson King in Vampire Feast?

Reach 2,150 mass to trigger a Blood Rush trial. For 30 seconds the top five candidates compete, and whoever gains the most mass in that window is crowned Crimson King.

What is Dracul in Vampire Feast?

Dracul is the dragon form above the crown. A Crimson King earns it by holding the throne for about three minutes — outlasting heaven's first three Archangels — or by growing monstrously large. It replaces the King's kit with a held dragonflame breath and a tough hide.

How do you beat the Archangel?

Do not duel him. The Archangel makes nearby holy soldiers stronger, so break the waves first, use ranged and hit-and-run pressure, and bring allies. Every Archangel felled halves the Holy Wrath meter and buys the King more reign.
